Position Overview
As a Waitlist Manager, you will play a vital role in assisting applicants through the housing process and ensuring compliance with housing program regulations. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, exceptional customer service abilities, and a commitment to serving the public with professionalism and integrity.
Key Responsibilities
- Process public housing applications accurately and efficiently
- Manage assigned property waitlists in accordance with program requirements
- Interview prospective applicants and determine public housing eligibility
- Review, verify, and process applicant documentation promptly
- Guide applicants through the public housing program, policies, and funding requirements
- Maintain and update public housing applicant records and data systems
- Schedule and conduct applicant appointments
- Collect rent payments and tenant-related charges
- Maintain accurate resident account records
- Process repayment agreements, income updates, and applicable charges
- Create and process work orders
- Provide general administrative and clerical support as well as perform additional duties as assigned by supervisor
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- High School Diploma or GED required
Additional Requirements
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening
- Valid driver’s license with an insurable driving record
- Ability to lift to 35 pounds
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Programs
- Strong commitment to delivering exceptional customer service
- Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills required
Compensation
Full-Time Position
Salary is competitive and based on experience.
